Talking about Back – Infinite

Hi guys! 🙂

As I already mentioned in my other post, today I’ll be talking about Infinite, who is back with Back! (he..hehe..) I didn’t know they’d be releasing a song so soon after Last Romeo (err… or it feels like Last Romeo wasn’t too long ago. :O), but hey, the more the merrier! 😀 Oh and I have already written a Talking about on Last Romeo too, so go check it out if you’re craving a little more on Infinite. :3

Song: I was totally enjoying this song by the first listen, and I feel like that says a lot about the song. I loved the beginning in particular (something about the piano part is just so awesome to me), but the whole song was really great. 😀 Their voices are definitely very strong and aren’t hidden under the instrumentals, which is fantastic too! I feel like Infinite takes a lot of unique approaches in terms of their music, and I find it impressive that they were able to take such a style (as the one in Back) and execute it so well. This song is definitely one I feel like I wouldn’t get tired of too easily. Solid song! 😀

Music Video: The plot for the music video was quite straightforward actually, with the Infinite members fighting the bad guys (I’m calling them bad guys 😡 haha) who have kidnapped the girl. This is the part I’m not sure about (because as you guys could probably tell by my other posts, I’m a very clueless person, especially when it comes to music video plots), as I’m guessing that the girl is like a little sister to the members….right? As for the members themselves, they look so fashionable for a fight, but hey, no complaints on how good they look. 😉 That one guy (sorry I don’t know all their names 😦 I’m terrible at memorizing members’ names so I apologize hehe) that’s ready to fight with the umbrella though haha! Nah, but joking aside,  hm, I’m sensing a continuation of the plot from Back with a future video… especially after that ending, right? That should totally be a thing if they aren’t planning it already. 😀 Anyways, although the video wasn’t the most unique of concepts, I certainly was interested whilst watching it. What did you guys think of it?

So, would I download this song? Yes, I would! 😀 Hope you guys enjoyed this post and have an awesome week!

Oh, P.S. check out Tablo and Taeyang’s live performance of Eyes, Nose, Lips! (I just stumbled across it whilst looking through youtube videos). To answer a few questions, yes, I am still not over this song. :3 Yes, I’m still as obsessed with this song as I was last month. And yes, you should definitely watch this performance! 😀

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Talking about Last Romeo – Infinite

Hey everyone!

Welcome back to It’s Time to K-Pop! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted (5 days actually, which seems like a long time for me haha) but I was very busy last week and will be as busy, if not more, this week (and a little bit of next week too) 😦 I’m really sorry about that, but I have exams and it’ll be difficult for me to post. Either way, I’ll try my best and I will keep you guys updated! Today’s Talking about is on a release that I was meaning to mention earlier, but have only gotten to doing it now. This release is Last Romeo by Infinite! I know that many fans were really looking forward to it, and now that it’s finally here, let’s talk about it!

Infinite is a 7 member group under Woolim Entertainment and it was formed in 2010. The members consist of Sungkyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Hoya, Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong.

Song: To me, this song has a jazzy feel to it, and it has a very fresh sound to it. I think the instrumentation is what really makes me feel this way, especially the guitar parts which are pretty awesome. I thought that introduction part was supposed to be part of the song, but I really liked it 😛 haha I totally think it could be a whole separate song. But anyways, their voices are really powerful and go well with the strong background sounds. I wasn’t really liking it much when I first listened to it, but that changed after a few listens (which is something that happens to me often. Does anyone agree with me? :D). I would have to say that the chorus is my favorite part out of the whole song! I’ll be really honest though (hehe). Although I do like the song and it is unique, and different from other songs I’ve listened to,  especially in regards to K-pop, I don’t completely love it and this is solely because it’s not my usual interests in song, not because it’s a terrible song or anything (because it clearly isn’t! :D)

Music Video: The music video was interesting, especially because of all the sets and props, like the book shelves and the aesthetically intriguing rooms they were in. The book explosion scene (you guys know what I’m talking about right?), along with the floating scene, are my favorites haha! There were a lot of cool moments and details in the video and made the video fun to watch, and it looked really cool overall. One thing I have to say, though, which isn’t really relevant to the video is that I loved Hoya’s blue hair haha it’s such a pretty color. 🙂 I’m a little bit confused about the plot to be honest :S but let me know what you guys thought of it!

Overall, I like the song and video! I don’t think I would download the song, but as I’ve mentioned earlier, that’s mostly because the song doesn’t really fit my preferences. What did you guys think? Are there an Inspirits out there? Let me know in the comments! Make sure to check out their comeback performance if you haven’t! Have a great Sunday, and I’ll see you guys soon, I promise. 🙂

Welcome back to It’s Time to K-Pop! Today’s post, and my second post of all time, will be me discussing my opinions  on Delicious – ToHeart (Shinee’s Key and Infinite’s Woohyun)! If you haven’t watched it already, click here to watch it now!

The weather is really bad today here where I live, so I thought “What better way to enjoy this gloomy day than discussing my opinions about K-pop?” The answer is, there is none! 😀

As you may see from the lack of content on my blog, this is the first time I actually try something like this :S so I’m a bit confused on how I should structure it, but I’ll try the best I can! For this particular discussion, I’ll divide it into my opinions about the music, and the music video, but this is subject to change as I write more and (hopefully :D) get feedback from you guys!

So, without further ado, let’s get right into talking about the music video!

Music: Well, for the music, I don’t have much to say to be honest. I thought it was an okay song. I like the guitar parts and the “band” feel it had (do you get me?). Clearly, I’m not that great at explaining. I thought the chorus was nice, but I didn’t really find it an amazing, mindblowing song. I don’t not like the song, I just didn’t love it. (so articulate, I know)

On the other hand, the video….

Music Video: I LOVED THE MUSIC VIDEO! I actually really really really liked it. I loved the whole feel of the music video. I thought it was really cool when they went through the unusual objects in the old, dusty room, playing around with what they found. The stop-motion was awesome, and the “book” for both Key and Woohyun was nice as well. The impression I got from the scenes, especially in the rooms, is a childishness, playfulness between the two, despite their competition to win over the girl. And guurl, they were looking polished and fiiiine in those scenes. Haha, but really, the “introduction”, if that’s even what it’s called, was awesome, and I get the feeling that they’re supposed to be opposites, like the sun and moon on their respective books early on into the video. I really really liked the set, the home-y feel they had to the scenes in the rooms, the bunk bed placed in opposite directions, the awesome props, etc. Another thing I want to mention is the vibrant colors of the settings, which I thought made the video all the more pleasant. I’m not even going to lie, the explosion of paint when they’re jumping was really cool too. I don’t know why but I liked the “Milky Way Diner” and the pretty galaxy sky, although I don’t know what it has to do with the song or video. Overall, the sets, props, mood, were all AWESOME in my opinion, but I do think it lacked a bit of development in story, but hey I’m not complaining because the visuals were FREAKING GREAT.

Oh, and how must I forget the chemistry and bromance between the two in this video…. Man, if I was their fans, I would be dying over this video, and I can already imagine all the fans out there fangirling over it. Hahaha it was cute :3 and it probably was one of the things many fans enjoyed the most. Additionally, the extra footage with the credits was a good idea, and the bromance in this part was so entertaining to watch haha :p

Overall: Okay song, awesome visuals in the video! I approve. 🙂 Let me know what you guys think about Delicious!

I mean because, obviously, love is nutritious right? 😉

Hugs from your fellow K-popper!

P.S.: Sorry if this post was hard to follow and all over the place :p As I’ve mentioned already, this is my first actual post discussing a music video, and I didn’t really know how to approach it. I’m open to any suggestions! Tell me what you thought about it! Also, I’m thinking of starting a weekly(-ish?) post about a specific artist/band in K-pop, and talking about my favorite member/songs/characteristics/etc. about them. Would you guys be interested in this?

By the way, (yes I talk a lot) am I the only one excited for Jackie Chan’s JJCC? I mean come on guys, it’s Jackie Chan! And he’s preparing a K-pop group!! Okay, I’m probably the only one freaking out about it. Thanks for reading if you’ve gone through all this babbling, and I’ll talk to you guys later! ❤
