Talking about I Need U – BTS

Hello friends! 🙂

After my Favorite K-pop Songs of 2014 post (which was very, very late hehe oops) I am back with a new Talking about! Finally! 😀 So glad to have the time and freedom to finally post again! After my 9 month break, I’ve missed  lot of good songs, and a lot of good songs as well, but I’ll be talking about a (fairly) recent song, and that is I Need U by BTS! Check out the music video here! I’ve talked about BTS before in a few other posts so check those out if you want to know a little bit more about my opinion. 🙂 Let’s get right into talking about this one!

Song: AWESOME. This song is fantastic and I loved it the first time I heard it. 🙂 As of now, this song is definitely my favorite, if not one of my favorites, out of all BTS songs. I mean it! 😀 I am really enjoying this song! From my previous experience with BTS (which I’m sure many of you probably are more familiar with), the style of this song doesn’t necessarily fit that of their other songs. Regardless, I think the sound is unique, the vocals are great, the rapping is awesome, and all of this culminates into an amazing song! 🙂 I really do recommend this song if you haven’t heard it already. It exceeded my expectations and has been a crucial part of my iTunes playlist. 😉 The fact that it’s super catchy also explains why I’ve been listening to it so often. Let me know if you agree with me, and if you love the song as much as I do. 😀

Music Video: First impression I had of it was that it looks really cool! I like how it doesn’t use the closed boxes and unusual rooms that most K-pop videos use (although I have been noticing that more and more of them are steering away from this.) It just looks really cool, and they look really good might I add haha. Another interesting thing I noticed about this music video is that there isn’t any dancing in the video, which is again not very common. The video flaunts a very cinematic look to it and this makes it different from the other videos. Not 100% positive about the storyline, although I do get a general sense of what it is. Overall, super cool locations, awesome looking shots, and great looking people. 😉 I really like the mood the video is setting and the look it’s sporting!

LOVE the song, and the video is great! 🙂 Also (in a little extra information), I am LOVING their new album 화양연화! It’s sooo good! Although I really like the title track, the others are just as awesome and catchy. 🙂 If you liked the song, you should definitely give a listen to the album as well. I was happily surprised by this new album BTS released, and it makes me look forward to the songs they’ll release in the future. I’m curious to know what you guys thought of it! BTS fans, let me know what you guys think! A music video for Dope was also released recently, so I’ll talk about it quickly here instead of writing a whole new post. The song is awesome! I love the jazzy feel it has, as well as how groovy it is. I also think that the choreography is pretty dope 🙂 Great songs, performance, and album from a great group!

I’ll be back with a new post soon, but until then, hugs from your fellow k-popper! ❤

Favorite K-Pop Songs of the Year: 2014

Hellooooo everyone! I’m back! ❤

You might be thinking, “Wait… who’s this?” and to that, I say “It’s Time to K-Pop!” Haha… stupid jokes aside, I really (sincerely) missed talking to you guys and posting on the blog, especially considering all that has happened in the K-pop industry recently. Yup, I’m talking about the good, the bad, and the ugly. :S It’s already been 9 months (!!!!!) since I’ve posted, and before anything else, I’d like to explain why I’ve been away for so long. First off, I’m so so so sorry for my absence. 😦 I’ve been really busy with school and college applications, and it was a bit overwhelming for me… I could go into more depth (and rant) about this, but I’ll save it because we have other, more interesting things to talk about! 😀

Anyways, I’m back, and we’re already almost halfway done with 2015! 😮 I hope the new year has been great for everyone, and that you guys achieve whatever goal you have in mind! 🙂

Enough with all that rambling though! A looot has happened in k-pop, whether that be good or bad and now that 2014 is over (since quite a while ago), I want to celebrate all the songs I felt were my favorites in this past year. I think this list is going to be a bit long (and this post is already long), so let’s get started! The songs are in no particular order. 🙂

Screen shot 2015-05-13 at 7.46.44 PM

Overdose – Exo: A lot has happened to Exo this past year (I’m sure you guys know what I’m talking about) but I think this powerful, yet catchy song is definitely one to recognize for 2014, and for Exo. Check out the video for the awesome dance routine as well as well. 🙂

Eyes, Nose, Lips – Taeyang: I’ve written about this song already in previous posts, but to summarize what I said: I love this song. I listened to it a lot when it first came out, and I kept it on repeat for a looong time. Such a nice song! Definitely one of the highlights of k-pop in 2014, so check it out if you haven’t already!

200% – Akdong Musician: In my opinion, Akmu was one of the best rookies of 2014 and their album Play is fantastic. The album is amazing, and it has many great songs in it. This super talented group deserves to be recognized for its talent!

Lonely – B1A4: (Almost) every time B1A4 releases a song, I am singing along to it in a few days. Their songs are so catchy, and this song is definitely one of those catchy songs as well! Another song that I listen to on repeat. 🙂

Her – Block B: This song was AWESOME. So catchy, fun, and unique. I just realized that I never published the “Talking about” I did on this music video… Woops :p That really sucks haha, but I basically mentioned how much of an awesome song it was, and how much I was in love with it. :p Her is not only one of my favorites for 2014, but also of Block B’s songs!

Some – Soyou & Jung Gi Go: The song that defined the year of 2014 in terms of kpop… Haha okay, this is a bit of an exaggeration (I’ll admit) but I feel like this sweet, catchy song became very popular in Korea. If you weren’t too crazy about k-pop last year (and missed out on this song), listening to Some is a must!

Come Back Home – 2NE1: Don’t let the quirkiness of the video scare you! This song is fantastic! 2NE1 has very strong vocals and it is definitely showcased in this song. It’s a super interesting mix of a lot of different styles, which combine into a very catchy song. 😀

1004 – B.A.P: Hehe, if you’ve read a few of my previous posts, you’ll know that I have a soft side for B.A.P. :’) My obsession aside, though, I think 1004 is an awesome song! It’s really cool and it packs a powerful performance. Great song from a talented group! P.S. Is anyone else really sad about B.A.P’s lawsuit? 😥

Good Luck – Beast: This song is awesome! It’s really catchy, and it brings back memories of the days when I was crazy about Beast haha :’) Super interesting sound! It’s a good place to start if you’ve never heard of any Beast songs.

Go Crazy – 2PM: What to say… other than GO CRAZY! This might be one of the catchiest, most fun songs on this list. Not only is the dance really fun, the song itself makes me want to dance. This is the song for you if you want a fun, upbeat dance song! I strongly recommend that you watch a performance video of it, because the dance adds to the fun of the song. 🙂

A – GOT7: GOT7 is also one of my favorite rookies (and groups in general) of 2014! They are a fun, talented group that has awesome songs. 🙂 So groovy and fun! This song is a must-press-repeat-after-listening-to-the-first-time type of song, because it is just that catchy and cute. 🙂 Stop stop it is really cool too, but I personally prefer A!

Angel – Yoon Mi Rae: This song probably isn’t as well-known as the other songs on this list (and you might not consider it k-pop) but it is too good not to include. Rather simple and a bit repetitive, but it’s so sweet and awesome! 🙂 It’s not like Yoon Mi Rae’s usual style, but it is still just as awesome!

Hold Me Tight – Loco: Again, another song that isn’t really k-pop (hehe). Regardless, this song is awesome! It shows how awesome Loco’s vocals are, and is a definite must. Its hip-hop feel might not be your thing, but for me, it’s totally what I love!

It’s You – Neon Bunny: Not k-pop, but still awesome! Neon Bunny has a very interesting sound that shines through in this song. Might not be your cup of tea, but still give it a try! 🙂 I highly suggest that you try other Neon Bunny songs if you enjoyed this one as well.

Chisa Bounce – M.I.B: I have no idea why I love this song so much.. But I do! 😀 It’s not as popular as the other songs on this list, but it’s just as awesome. Something about its unconventional sound, which still accomplishes catchiness, deserves a spot on this list. The chorus is awesome!

That’s it for this post friends! 🙂 I’m so sorry for the delay again (9 months is a looong time) but I promise I will start posting more frequently now. I’ve been itching to talk to you guys about k-pop these days haha. There have been a lot of awesome songs in 2015 already, and now I need to catch up. 🙂 This list is not complete (at all) and I’ll add to it if I remember anything. These are the only ones that I can remember right now. 🙂 What do you think about my list? Were your favorites here? Let me know what songs I missed in the comments! I’d love to find out what other songs you have in mind. 🙂 Thank you for being patient!

Haven’t said this in forever, but hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Talking about No Love – Jun K.

Hey guys!

I’m back with another post (after being inconsistent with my posting, sorry :P) and today I’ll be talking about Jun K.’s release called No Love! 🙂

Jun K. is a member of 2PM and is currently under JYP Entertainment. He has been active since 2008, along with the group.

Song: I’ll admit that there are some details that I don’t like about the song, which were more evident to me in the first few listens, but the song itself is absolutely fantastic! 😀 His singing is amazing and I am so impressed by it – it almost sounds like a musical piece, rather than just a song itself which I mean as a compliment! 🙂 The instrumentation is great and it has a very distinctive, unique sound to it. It is a very nice song with strong vocals, and I give it a big thumbs up!

Music Video: This music video is creepy, yet interesting at the same time. I say creepy because of the huge panda in the beginning, which has an eerie feel to me, (Fans say that the pandas are supposed to be representative of Jun K.) and the doll with the bright green eyes that actually startled me when I first watched the video. Other than those things, however, I actually really liked the creativity in the video, with the beautiful scenes, circus sets, the heart emblem and many other awesome things that made the video enticing. The disintegrating girl was quite unsettling to be honest, but still cool at the same time :D, and I thought the same thing when the red dust thing (?) spewed out of Jun K. when he was shot. Lots of cool things happening to complement this awesome song!

Overall, I really liked both the song and video! 🙂 I was very impressed by Jun K.’s talent and by the song as well. What did you guys think? Make sure to let me know in the comments! 🙂 Have a great weekend!

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Talking about No More – BEAST

Hi guys! 🙂

I’m back with another Talking about, and this one is on the long awaited comeback, BEAST’s No More! I wasn’t sure about which release I was going to talk about in today’s post (especially since there were many worth mentioning). I wasn’t sure if I was going to talk about this or Good Luck but after watching this one first, I knew I really wanted to include it! 🙂 Sorry this post is a little delayed 😛 It took me a lot longer to actually publish than I had anticipated despite the fact that I had drafted it earlier hehe.

BEAST is a group formed under Cube Entertainment in 2009. The members consist of Doojoon, Hyunseung, Junhyung, Yoseob, Gikwang, and Dongwoon.

Song: Well, I do like the song! I’ll admit, I was a bit unsure about it when I first heard it, but now after giving it a few listens, I’ve regarding this with more positivity hehe.  I loved their voices and thought they were so well-fitting for the song. I love (really really love) Junhyung’s voice, and I think it really stood out for me because of how calm, soothing it was, but really,  all of the members’ singing is amazing. 🙂 Despite their really great vocals, I’m not completely obsessed with the song but I do have positive feelings about it!

Music Video: Actually, the music video was the reason why I wanted to talk about this release hehe. I LOVE it, and I know how rarely I say that but this video definitely deserves my love. :3 Some people disliked the Beastagram thing, but I thought it was so creative! I loved how they included actual scenes from the music video into their accounts, as well as the whole role it played throughout the video. I thought it was very clever hehe :3 And I can’t forget to mention how good the members looked haha 😉 But really, I was completely captivated throughout the whole video,  not to mention also really interested in Junhyung and the girl’s relationship. The plot line and the end of the video (my favorite part) were actually fun to watch. The Beastagram is so legit that you can see that they even like photos haha 😛 The bursts of color were really pretty and the video itself was very aesthetically pleasing. 🙂 Awesome video, and I love it!

Overall, nice song and awesome video! 🙂 I’m happy about Beast’s comeback, and I’m sure many people feel the same way too.  What did you guys think about it? Let me know! 🙂

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Talking about Breathe – ZE:A

Hello! 😀

Welcome back to It’s Time To K-pop with another Talking about. ❤ The release for today is Breathe by ZE:A! Fun fact about ZE:A: I met Dongjun and Kevin a few years back 🙂 but today, lets go ahead and talk about the release!

ZE:A is a 9 member group that debuted in 2010. They are currently under Star Empire Entertainment. The members consist of Kevin, Kwanghee, Siwan, Junyoung, Taeheon, Heechul, Minwoo, Hyungsik, and Dongjun. To be honest, I only know a few members out of ZE:A well, but putting that aside, it’s time to talk about the song! 🙂

Song: I feel like it’s a nice song with a fun melody! It also does have that catchy vibe to it, and I especially like the beginning. I do have a general positive feeling about the song, but at the same time, I’m not completely obsessed or in love with it. I don’t think it matches my personal taste of music very well. I’m not really here to make any criticisms, and I’m not trying to say it’s a bad song! I just don’t have that feeling of being so sucked into the song because I am so amazed by it, you know? 😛 Let’s just say that it’s not my cup of tea… but I’m sure that many people enjoyed it! 😀

Music Video: The music video was interesting, to say the least… haha! I feel like there was a lot going on, but in a good way (I guess). There were scenes in some weird planet, in a spaceship type thing, in destructed areas, and many other varied settings. Overall, I thought it was interesting to see all the little details, like the origami (cute hehe), the pretty planet (and spaceship! :D) they were in, and even their dance. What I got from the video was that they took their escape to this new planet because Earth was destroyed… I don’t know haha (clearly, you guys can tell I am confused 😛 like always) so leave me a comment if you have a better idea about what’s going on. 😀 The video itself intriguing in the sense that it’s quite a fun concept and it does look cool overall, but I think I missed a lot of the big points that the video was trying to make, especially when considering what it had to offer alongside the song.

Overall, Breathe was a nice song (which I wasn’t crazy about) and an engaging video, especially because of its settings. I wouldn’t download the song but then again, I’ve explained that it isn’t really my jam. 😛 What did you guys think about it? Do you disagree with me? I’d love to know! 😀 Oh yeah, today is the first day for the World Cup! (Like that has anything to do with K-pop… but I’m just curious!) Are you guys cheering for any team? Comment below! I’ll talk to you guys very soon! 🙂

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Songs of the Month: May

Hi guys!

I told you guys I’d be back vey soon, and I’m here already :D! The month of May is finally over (it was a very busy month for me) and you know what that means?! 😀 It’s time for a Songs of the Month! There aren’t that many songs in this list for May. I don’t know why that is – maybe I didn’t search for songs as much as I did last month, or I didn’t find as many releases – but I still didn’t want to skip over it, despite how short this post may be. I hope you guys understand, and remember, please leave me comments if you have any other songs you think I should mention! Let’s get to it 🙂

Give Love – Akmu: A little bit of an obvious choice, perhaps? 🙂 Well, I absolutely loved this song and I totally think it deserves to be in this list. This is a very cute song. 🙂

Life is Good – Dynamic Duo: This is an amazing song that was released this month, which doesn’t have that many views (which is a shame 😦 ) I really enjoyed this and I hope you guys do too if you decide to give it a listen! 🙂

What are We?  – 애즈원: An old song that I discovered this month! Such a relaxing song and I love it! It has a very catchy melody.

Night and Day – Wheesung: If you read my Talking about on this song, you’ll know how much I love this song. Although it has been a while since it was released, I’ve been listening to it ever since and I enjoy it just as much as I did then. I definitely think this is one of the top songs of this month.

Erase – 4Men: Beautiful song. Enough said. Check it out! 🙂

You You You – Fly to the Sky: This is also another beautiful song! Oh yeah, by the way, I know this is a songs list but this video of Brian is worth mentioning so check it out if you have the time! It’s absolutely hilarious! 😀 One of my favorite moments in Korean TV haha I guess Brian’s humor adds to my love for Fly to the Sky 🙂 He was so funny on OMS if you watched that too. 🙂

Eternity – VIXX: I talked about this release yesterday so I don’t think I have to say much here. 🙂

That’s all I can think of right now, but I’ll make sure to add in anything if I remember it! I’d love to know what other songs you guys encountered this month! Thanks for reading!

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Talking about Night and Day – Wheesung

Hey guys! 🙂

I’m back with another post, and I’m actually quite excited to talk to you guys about this one! I know that there were at least 3 big music video releases today (or yesterday in Korea I guess), and I was contemplating which one I should do, but this one was definitely my first choice once I watched it. This release is Wheesung’s Night and Day! I will probably talk about the others eventually too, but this one will be the first! 🙂

Image taken from All rights go to the respective owners!

Wheesung is an R&B singer that debuted in 1999 (woah! :O he’s been in the industry for a while now!). He is part of YMC Entertainment since 2011. I actually have been wanting to talk about some of his songs for a while, so stay tuned for those in future posts!

Song: I am very much in love with this song! His voice is phenomenal, and it truly is one of the greatest ones in the K-pop scene right now, in my opinion. His talent amazes me every single time I listen to his songs. 🙂 Does the beginning of the song sound a little bit like country music to anyone else? Yes… no? Okay, never mind then… This song is both beautiful and catchy – what more could you ask? I am so obsessed with this song; it really is a hidden gem (heh). His singing, the melody, and the instrumentation are just so amazing. I’m so impressed! I love every little detail about it! The lyrics are really nice too 🙂 You know when a song is so awesome that you don’t know how to explain it? Yeah, well this song is like that for me, and I am so very glad to have heard it. Sorry for the really vague descriptions; I can’t quite explain the effect it has on me, but the feels man. :’) If you haven’t heard any other Wheesung’s songs and you’re contemplating whether or not you should listen to it, you (hopefully) won’t be disappointed, so give it a try. I’ve seen a few comments of people that weren’t too impressed with the song, so I’m very curious to know what you guys think!

Music Video: Okay, so the song is pretty freaking awesome, but what about the video? Well, isn’t it a relief that the video is great too? 😀 The first thing I have to say, though, is that C.A.P (from Teen Top) is pretty cute, so that’s a plus. Haha, just kidding! (not about the part that C.A.P is cute though :P) Music videos for sad R&B songs can usually be boring, or not really offer much to enhance the song, but this wasn’t like that at all! The video was actually really interesting (I was captivated by it during the whole time), and I loved the sequence of the events and how it transitioned, like the “zoom and slow-mo”, and change of locations/situations with the camera turns (Do those even make sense to you guys? Haha). It was pretty cool! 😀 I also liked the set when Wheesung was in the “night” and “day” scenes, and how it cut quickly from one to the other was really interesting too. I’ve seen a lot of different interpretations on the music video, so I thought, why not share mine? 😛 What I think is happening in this video is that C.A.P (does the C stand for cute? :3) and Yura are ex-lovers, and they meet again as ‘friends’, but he sees that she has a ring on which insinuates that she already has a boyfriend. When Yura leaves, he rethinks their past together and how he let go of her once already, and he stands up dramatically to hold her again (like in K-dramas haha :P) so that he doesn’t have to lose her once more. What do you guys think the storyline is? Conclusion: really intriguing video to watch that had a lot to offer to the song.

Overall, I really loved both the music video and the song! 🙂 Although I thoroughly enjoyed the song (I hope I made that clear amidst all my rambling and failure at explaining the song), the music video made it even better, which I didn’t know was possible :P. You go Wheesung, I’m very impressed in you. I’m really curious to see how he’ll perform on live, and I’ll definitely be looking forward to it. Would I download the song? Definitely! In fact, I should do that now… But anyways, hope you guys enjoyed this post and please let me know your opinions as well! 🙂 Thanks so much for reading!

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Talking about Want U – JungGiGo

Hey friends! 🙂

I’m here today to talk about JungGiGo’s Want U, which was released yesterday! 😀 It always feels when I’m doing an introduction because they used to ramble a lot, but now I don’t know what to say here, but I still feel like I need some sort of an introduction, so what do you guys think about the posts? Are you excited for the many comebacks to happen soon? Let me know!

Image taken from All rights go to the respective owners!
Image taken from All rights go to the respective owners!

JungGiGo is an artist under Starship Entertainment, and he debuted in 2008. He was born on September 5th, 1980 which surprised me because he’s 34 years old! :O I swear he doesn’t look like this! But anyways, many of you might know him already from his collaboration with Soyou from Sistar (called Some, which I’ve mentioned in a few other posts), but today’s post will talk about his new song!

Song: First thing that stood out from the song was JungGiGo’s amazingly soothing voice! I noticed this already in Some (and I didn’t really know him before that, hehe), but his voice is so very smooth and I love this about this trait about the song as well. I don’t know if you guys have picked up on my music taste already, but this is definitely the type of song I like. Seriously though, his singing is so nice and I can’t get enough of it!  I really like the instrumentation, and most particularly the guitar riffs. This is a groovy song that I personally did enjoy! Beenzino’s rap is awesome once again, and the two went well together! I feel like this is one of those songs that will grow on me until I’m addicted (like Some was) and I am slowly liking it progressively more as I listen to it more. It’s definitely not the overpowering or super upbeat, loud type of song, so keep that in mind too!

Music Video: As for the music video, I don’t really have much to say because it was relatively simplistic (not to say that that is a bad thing, but just provides for less things to talk about I would say). That being said, I did like the dramatic lighting and fairly simple set. I mean, it’s probably not the most interesting video you’ve watched (certainly not the case for me either), but I think it works well with the song in general and particularly its grooviness. That’s pretty much all I have to say about the video! 😛

Overall, it was a nice song and okay video! 🙂 Would I download the song? Yep! 😀 What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments! I’m really sorry this post is so short (I guess I didn’t have as much rambling as I always do). 😛 I hope you had a great Friday and I’ll see you guys in my next post!

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! 🙂

Talking about Overdose – Exo-K

Hey guys!

How have you all been? In case you missed the news, Exo released their (highly anticipated) comeback Overdose today! Today I’ll be talking about the Exo-K version, instead of the Exo-M version, but you can check out the latter here! What did I think about this new release? Keep reading to find out!

Image taken from All rights go to the respective owners!

Exo is a group formed under SM Entertainment with 12 members, and they released their debut single in 2012. They are divided into the subunits Exo-K and Exo-M. The members consist of Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, Xiumin, Luhan, Kris, Lay, Chen, and Tao.

A little disclaimer before I get into the actual talking: I know how big Exo is and how many fans they have, so I just wanted to make it clear that all these opinions in this post (emphasis on the word opinions) are my own, and my intentions are not to offend or hate on anyone with this post, or any of my other ones! Please don’t take my opinions too seriously, and don’t be upset at anything I say! 🙂 I’m a bit worried that I’m talking about this release pretty early on, but I hope you guys understand! ❤ Okay, now that I got that out of the way, let’s actually get started!

Song: What an awesome song! The first impression I got was that it’s powerful, and very detailed! (Does that make sense? :P) I don’t really know the right words to describe it, so I’ll try my best to be as eloquent as possible. I will say this though – they had a lot of little cool details and sounds that they incorporated in the song, and although I initially thought these things would overpower their singing, this didn’t happen at all, which amazed me! Their singing was awesome and the song is super catchy! I really like the chorus part especially, and I couldn’t help but want to sing along (or hum really) as well. I don’t think this is the right expression, but they have this strong, full sound that I personally really like. It’s the type of the song that had a lasting impact and was memorable to me. Not going to say much more, but it’s great and I love it!

Music Video: As for the music video, I’ll say that it was, in general, pretty cool! SM loves their large, oddly lighted rooms, but it was interesting to watch because it was really dramatic, yet captivating, and this is true especially for the dances. Speaking of their choreography, it was so creative and pretty epic in general! I loved so many things about it, like the drumming on the head as an example, and they were so well synchronized with each other! I mentioned Exo’s dance already in another post (Top 5 Dances one), and while I was already impressed with them then, I am even more so now! I can’t wait to see the live performances! Okay, getting back to the subject of the video, I was mesmerized by their dancing, and how precise, yet in sync, and fitting the dance moves were with the song. It made the video really entertaining to watch, and it kept me enticed during the whole duration of the video! I do have a few things I disliked and they are minor considering the video in a larger scheme, but I thought I’d mention it anyways. The first thing is the zooming (or warping, I can’t really tell) effect that happens often in the video, usually coordinated with their movement. At first, it didn’t bother me much, but as it got repetitive, it, personally, annoyed me, especially because it kind of threw me off, and disrupted my focus on the super cool dance routine. 😛 Another thing was the (overly) flashy lights that, similar to what I said about the other effect, were quite distracting. Other than that though, I loved the pass off of the camera (as I noted in the Growl dance practice video as well), and I was really impressed overall!

In general, I loved the song, and the video was cool, not to mention that the dance was epic! Would I download the song? You bet I will! 😉 What did you think? I know how eager everyone was about this video, so I want to know your opinion as well! Hope you enjoyed this post! 🙂

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper!

Talking about Phone – 100%

Hello everyone!

I’m back with another post! I’ve been really stressed this week, so hopefully writing this post and talking to you guys will make me feel better! 🙂 Today’s post is a Talking about, which I haven’t done in a while, on 100%’s new release called Phone! Click here to watch it. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this release is to finish off their promotions of Beat! What are my opinions? Keep reading to find out!

A picture of all 7 members! Image taken from All rights go to the respective owners!

100% is a group under TOP Media, and although they originally had 7 members, Sanghoon and Minwoo have left the group for the promotions of Beat. They currently are promoting as a 5 member group with Rokhyun, Chanyong, Changbum, Hyukjin, and Jonghwan. They debuted in 2012.

Song: Very different from their other song, Beat (which you can check out here!). Speaking of Beat, I actually have a little story to tell you guys really quickly, heh. I was watching their live performance of this song (here’s one) and I was very  impressed, mostly because their vocals were great even while they were doing those intense dance moves (I felt tired for them watching them dance haha! :P). Anyways, the point of this seemingly irrelevant story was to say that I actually think their voices are very charming, and their singing is great, which is more than evident in the song Phone. Because it’s a ballad style, slow song, the instrumentation was much simpler than their previous song and I feel like I focused more on their voices, which again did impress me. 🙂 The song is very pretty, and if you do like ballad songs, you should definitely check it out! This song showed another side of 100%’s music style and personally, the highlight was definitely their great singing. 🙂

Music Video: Well…. It’s kind of hard to talk about this music video because it only consists of behind the scene clips, really.. hehe… But I mean, if you’re a fan, you’ll probably really enjoy the video haha! 😉

Overall, pretty song and a cute (I guess, is this the appropriate word?) video! Would I download the song? Hm… Not really, and this is because I just don’t like this style of ballad songs. :3 It’s not my cup of tea. What are your opinions on it? Let me know in the comments! Thanks so much for reading! 🙂
