K-Pop Findings: Top 5 Dances

Hi guys! 😀

Welcome back to my blog after less frequent posting! :3 I do apologize for that, but I’ll make up for it with this one! I’ve been having trouble thinking of what types of things to talk about, and I didn’t wan’t to have a list on songs, because I’m already thinking of doing a Top Favorite K-Pop Songs list soon (so look forward to that! :D). That is why I’ve decided to talk about something a little different, so here it is! This post is my Top 5 Dances from K-Pop! 🙂

A little disclaimer before we start! I am, by no means, a professional dancer of any sort, and I am not claiming to be one! These are just some of the dances I personally think are unique, creative, or just a lot of fun! I’m pretty sure I’ll forget some (What can I say? I have the memory of a goldfish :3), but I’ll make more as I remember them if you guys like this first one! With that out of the way, let’s get started!

Sherlock – SHINee: The first time I saw the music video, I was in love. :3 SHINee has awesome dance routines for almost all of their releases, but I’ve chosen this one to include here. It’s so well coordinated and so so so creative! It’s so much fun to watch! I was very much impressed with this song, and the dance, on top of that, just made the performance much more captivating, not to mention that it’s really well synched and appropriate to the song. This dance version of their music video shows how great the dance is, so do check it out if you have not already.

Growl – Exo: This might be another obvious choice after Sherlock, but I think it deserves this spot! 🙂 Not only is this dance routine awesome, but I love the dance exchange between the two different “units”, and by this I mean Exo-M and Exo-K, during the dance. I think the fact that there are so many members in Exo makes it so that the routine looks even more complete and enticing. It’s a powerful dance and they make it look so coordinated, despite what I’ve mentioned before about them having so many members. I really like this dance practice video (pretty awesome because of the movement of the camera along with the routine, I think) so it’s definitely worth a watch.

Fiction – Beast: Although I really want to talk about this awesome song, that is for another day since we’ll be talking about the awesome choreography today. The choreography practice video I linked to  actually includes their routine for their song The Fact too, but Fiction comes a little bit after (starting at around 2:18). 🙂 What I love about this choreography is the feet shuffling thing (so eloquent right :P) that comes at the chorus part of the song. I love it every time I see it haha 😛 But overall, the dance is awesome! Obviously, there might be many other songs that have more “complicated” or intricate choreography, but it’s one that stands out in my memory! I remember I was so obsessed with it when it came out. :3 I can’t believe it’s already been 3 years! :O But anyways, the video is pretty cool too, so check it out, especially because they teach you how to do the step thing I was talking about at the end haha!

Nobody – Wonder Girls: Wow, the memories come up even just by hearing the title of this song. I said that Fiction was old, but Nobody is from 2008! :O Well, I was considering whether or not to put this song, or Tell Me, but Nobody takes this spot for today! 🙂 Now, this is probably one of the more unexpected choices, but hear me out, because I do have a reason for this! This song, and dance, was so popular when it was released and I definitely understand why. I personally really like this dance! It’s so simple, yet so addicting and I can’t help wanting to copy it! Of course, I do agree that it probably isn’t the most detailed, sophisticated dance, but just the sheer simplicity yet catchiness of the dance are enough to make it one of my top choices. The music video is hilarious and a lot of fun, too! 😛 Seriously though, kudos to you JYP! Straight up nostalgia from this song and dance, you guys. :3

1004 – B.A.P: Again, I had a little bit of hesitation when deciding which B.A.P dance I wanted to talk about (since they have so many awesome ones), but I chose 1004 their most recent release! The reason for this choice is because of the super cool solo dances (what, is this even a thing?) by Jongup and Zelo, but all the other dances parts of the dance were awesome, especially the one from the chorus! There are lots of cool moments in the choreography and it makes out to be an overall very impressive performance. Check it out if you haven’t already, and I hope you’re as impressed with this dance as I am.

So, here’s my Top 5 Dances (that I can think of right now)! I obviously have many others that I think are amazing, so if you liked this post, please let me know and I’ll do another one! Who else do you think should’ve been included in this post? Let me know! 🙂 Also, please keep in mind that this is my opinion only, and I wasn’t looking only at how complex or sophisticated the dance was, but also how great of a performance it was to me. I hope you all have a great week, and sorry for the lack of posts! 😦 It’s a bit of a difficult time to be posting as usual, so I hope you understand! Thanks so much for reading and checking out my blog! 🙂 Don’t be shy to comment!

K-Pop Group Of The Day: SISTAR

Hello guys!

I know I haven’t been posting in a while and I apologize for that. I don’t want you guys to think I’m slacking off (because I’m really not :(), but I just didn’t think it would be appropriate after the tragedy that occurred in South Korea. Please keep all those affected in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time and help or support them if you can.

Thank you for being patient. ❤ Today’s post will be a K-Pop Group of the Day on the awesome girl group SISTAR. SISTAR is a group under Starship Entertainment, and they debuted in 2010. The members consist of Hyorin, Dasom, Bora, and Soyou.

Looking gorgeous! 😉 Image taken from soompi.com. All rights go to the respective owners!

Favorite member? Well, the group only has 4 members which seems to be less than the average number of members, and because of this, I think it’s easier (for lack of a better word) to get to know the members better. That being said, I really like all of them because they are so talented, but I’d have to say that it’s either Hyorin because of her amazing voice and talent, or Soyou because of her great singing, but also all the awesome collaborations she is part of. One example of this is Some – JungGiGo & Soyou (among others which I will talk about soon!). Check it out!

Favorite song? This question wasn’t as difficult to answer as it was for other groups I’ve talked about (and I don’t really know why because I like all of their songs). My favorite SISTAR song is Loving U because it’s such a sweet, cute, catchy song, but also because it brings back memories from my trip to Korea in 2012. I’m not even kidding, every other shop or café I went in had this song playing in the background. :3 Either way, I think it’s a great summer song. What do you guys think? You can click here to check it out! Also, another song I want to talk about is SISTAR19 – Ma Boy, which you can check out here! It isn’t technically a SISTAR song, but let’s just say it counts since SISTAR19 is their subunit :3. I’m mentioning it because not only is it an awesome song, but the dance was memorable, for me at the least. I remember people around me were obsessed with it, and most people tried to copy it 😛 I think it’s a catchy song that you should listen to if you haven’t already.

One thing that sets them apart from others? I think the answer to this would probably have to be their dancing (as they always have super fun ones to follow) topped with each member’s great vocals!

Overall opinion? Well, I think SISTAR is great, based on what I know of their super catchy songs, fun dances, and great singing! I have yet to be greatly disappointed by their releases and as of now, I am impressed with their releases and accomplishments. 🙂

What are your opinions about SISTAR? Let me know in the comments! Thank you so much for reading and I’ll talk to you guys soon.

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper. ❤

K-Pop Findings: Big Star

Hi everyone!

I’m back with another post, and it is a K-Pop Finding about the group Big Star! Let’s get started, shall we? 🙂

Image taken from kpopconcerts.com. All rights go to the respective owners!
Image taken from kpopconcerts.com. All rights go to the respective owners!

Big Star is a group under Brave Entertainment (and apparently co-managed by NH Media), which debuted in 2012. The members consist of Feeldog (the leader), Baram, Raehwan, Sunghak, and Jude.

I’m going to be quite honest, the only member I actually know of is Feeldog (kind of an unusual name, I think haha) because I’ve seen him a lot in variety shows, but the rest I don’t even know at all (except for Sunghak who I remotely recognized). I don’t know about you guys, but I stumble across many idols I’m not familiar with through variety programs or shows, and the way I see it,  it’s definitely one of the ways to be known to a larger audience. I decided to check out the group, and I wanted to share what I’ve found about them with you!

Run & Run Music Video – This is the first music video I came across when searching them up on YouTube. Super fun video and song! It’s also kind of humorous as well (at least in the beginning). I really like the “기억” dance, which has the same sound as ㄱ, the Korean letter (I guess), and the movement they do which was popular a long time ago (I mean, a REALLY long time ago). This part starts at around 1:31. Partying hard, haha!

HotBoy Music Video – First thing I’d like to mention is – “Look at Feeldog’s red bowl-cut hair. So cute :3!”. And the fire coming out from his eyes, haha! But generally, really interesting song! When I was first listening to it, I wasn’t expecting the chorus when it started playing, especially after their “hot boy” confident attitude and all, but I’m liking it! “Yeah boy!” (Sorry I just really wanted to copy that heh)

Standing Alone Music Video – I really like this song! The music video is very different from the other ones I’ve mentioned, as it’s much “cleaner”, simplistic, and less clustered. It’s a more “emotional” song, I guess you could say. I enjoyed it 🙂

I Got the Feeling Music Video – Aw, this is so cute and a lot of fun (both the song and the music video)! You should check it out if you’re liking the other music videos I’ve talked about, because this shows their playful personalities and the chemistry between the members (what haha, does that sound awkward to you guys too?)

Thinking of You Music Video – Oh my, Feeldog’s hair! :O Haha, but really, this song is awesome! It’s probably one of my favorites out of the one’s I’ve heard and mentioned here. You should definitely give it a listen!

You Got Some Nerve Music Video – And finally, to finish off this post about Big Star, here’s a collaboration between Yong Jun Hyung (from B2st), Feeldog, and LE (from EXID)! Woah, look at this badass concept haha! I like the rapping, especially Yong Jun Hyung (his voice is so charming). They all are definitely great rappers. 🙂 Nothing against this song really, but I wasn’t in love with it because it isn’t the type of song I listen to, but you should check it out yourself!

Hope you enjoyed this post! From what I’ve found, I think they are a cool group and if you don’t know them, you should give them a chance and watch their music videos! You might be surprised with what you see! 🙂 If you already are a fan of them, please leave me comments on what other suggestions for music videos, songs, appearances on shows, etc. you enjoyed about them! I’m quite unaware of any future promotions or activities they have for the future, but I’ll definitely look into those when they come out!

On a much sadder note, there has been a lot of tragic news these past couple of days. Please keep those affected by these disasters in your thoughts and prayers, and give them your support at this difficult time.

Thank you for reading, and I’ll talk to you guys soon.

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper ❤

Talking about Jackpot – Block B

Hello guys!

I’m back with another Talking about on Jackpot by Block B! As always, click here to check it out if you haven’t already! Let’s get started! :3 (This is probably the most concise my introduction has ever been)

Block B (short for Blockbuster) is a 7 member group formed by Cho PD under New Stardom. They are currently part of Seven Seasons and they debuted in 2011. The members are Zico, Lee Taeil, B-Bomb, Ahn Jaehyo, U-Kwon, Park Kyung, and P.O.

Song: Super fun and catchy song! I think I haven’t talked about an upbeat song in a while, and this is definitely an interesting one. I’m really enjoying the “circus” feel to it and there are so many cool details in it! Seriously, I couldn’t really notice it when I was watching the video but it was obvious to me when I was listening to the song only. I highly suggest you give solely this song a listen. 🙂 At first, I thought the different parts of the song, although awesome, didn’t go well together, but after a few listens, it actually sounds great. I really like the chorus and it’s a very intriguing song. I realized this before in their other releases, but I am really in love with Zico’s voice (In truth, all the members showed their strong vocals in this song). This song is different and unique in a good way :3 I liked it!

Music Video: The beginning is so so creepy! I was actually scared by the intro… and the fact that I don’t like clowns doesn’t really help hahah 😛 I suggest you skip to around 0:24 in the music video if you’re scared of clowns like I am. But other than that, it was a very funny, yet creepy video at the same time. I don’t know if this was just me, but I was disturbed by how puppet-like the girl was…  :O It was really fun to watch nonetheless and I loved the playfulness and humor. I really liked the circus outfits, sets, props, and the extras who were in character, and all this made the video much more fun to watch. It was very well synched to the song, which you might think is a weird thing to say, but I say it in the sense that the actions, the dances, and the scene changes were set to match the song really well. :3 Or… I’m imagining things 😛 The video was a pleasure to watch and I’m really enjoying picking out all the details, like the bow at the end or the knife throwing. Overall, awesome video! By the way, watch until the very end of the video. It’s worth it haha!

Overall, super fun video and music video! I enjoyed both! 🙂 Would I download the song? Yes! What did you think about this release? Please let me know in the comments! Thanks so much for reading and checking out my blog! I’ll talk to you guys later!

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Talking about Melted – Akmu + UPDATE!

Hey everyone!

I’m back with another post today, and continuing on the Talking about on Kpop Star from yesterday, I’ll be Talking about Akmu’s Melted! Click here to watch it. I know it might seem repetitive since I’ve mentioned them quite a few times in my recent posts, but I really wanted to talk about their new (awesome) release, so here it is! By the way, I also have an update to let you guys know about, so keep reading until the end if you want to know about it! Let’s get started!

Image taken from yg-life.com. All rights go to the respective owners!

Although I always have a little introduction of the group I’m talking about, I won’t do one for Akmu because I’ve already talked so much about them and you’re probably sick of these redundant introductions, so I’ll just get right to it!

Song: I already heard the song before I saw the music video, and I believe it was when I watched their performance in Kpop Star 3. I absolutely loved it when I heard it then, and I love it now. The weather here where I live is very eery, gloomy, and the song fits perfectly with the mood here right now. It’s a completely different style from their other release, 200%, but doesn’t that show how flexible they can be in their music style? I would think so 😛 It’s a beautiful song – very solemn, gloomy – and the lyrics are really clever. The title 얼음들 (which translates to ice in English) sounds like 어른들 (which means adults in English), so while talking about the cold of the ice, they’re also talking about how adults are cold-hearted as well. The lyrics are really meaningful so do check it out! I really love the song and the vocals are amazing, not to mention that their voices are so chillingly (heh pun intended) beautiful! I really liked the water droplets sounds too (I like little details :3), and the strings parts as well. I didn’t except this type of a sad song to be catchy, but I kept singing it to myself during the day. I’m very impressed and will definitely keep it on replay. :3

Music Video: Loved the music video as well! It was quite depressing to be honest, but it told the story of the song effectively. It was really sad to see the effect the adults had on the child and both the video and song together were thought-provoking. I appreciated how they were trying to take a cinematic approach for the music video, and tried to make it meaningful. The emotions and provocative elements of the music video helped me focus on the song more, listen to it more carefully, and immerse myself into the mood of the song and video. I don’t know if I’m imaging this, but the whole video was grayish, with muted colors, but once the boy met the caring adult at the end, the colors changed back to warmer tones and I thought this was nice hehe :3 (It made me feel better about this sad video). Overall, it was very interesting and I enjoyed watching it. It’s a powerful video.

Overall, I absolutely loved the song and music video! Akmu is really impressing me these days, and I can say that I am a fan, seeing all that they’ve done until now. 😀 I downloaded their album Play and I highly suggest it if you haven’t heard it already. Would I download the song? Yes, of course! 🙂 I already did, hehe. What do you guys think? Do you love it as much as I do? Let me know in the comments!

Update time! – As you guys may have noticed, I’ve been posting everyday (quite proud of myself actually hehe) and I did this because I was really excited about my blog, wanted a lot of content on it, and I had a lot of time, and now, although my passion hasn’t changed, the time I am able to commit to the blog has. You guys might not know this but I’m a student, and I have a lot of things to prepare for such as tests, exams, applications, and other bothersome tasks, and it’s going to start becoming really hectic for me.

I won’t have as much time for the blog and that’s why I wanted to let you guys know beforehand (early on so you guys don’t get upset about it being a sudden change) that my posting schedule is going to be a little different. From now on, I’ll be posting three times a week (probably Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) 😦 This is a really sad for me because I wish I could continue posting everyday, but this is a really important time for me and I want to devote a large portion of my time to my academics, so I hope you guys understand :3

Good news is that this is a minimum, not a maximum, meaning that if I have time (like I still might a little bit in April), I will post more than on just these 3 days! 🙂 If I don’t, however, I will be going with this schedule.

Basically, what I’m trying to say with all this rambling is that, I might post more than 3 times a week, but sometimes I will only be able to keep to those days so I’m really sorry, but please know that I am still just as dedicated to my blog, and I’ll respond to comments and check up on my blog even when I’m not posting! 😀

Thank you for the support, and I’ll promise to keep updating you guys with awesome posts! Sorry to end on a sad note (at least for me 😦 ) and I hope you guys have an awesome week!

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Talking about K-Pop Star 3

Hello everyone! 🙂

Today’s post is on something a little different! Yes, it is a Talking about, but it won’t be on a music video. Instead, it’s on the audition program that has recently come to an end and that is Kpop Star 3!

Image taken from tv.sbs.co.kr. All rights go to the respective owners!

Kpop Star’s season 3 included agencies JYP Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and Antenna Music, as judges in order to choose the winner, who would then decide which of the 3 agencies to debut with. Kpop Star 1’s winner was Park Jimin, who is currently under JYP Entertainment and part of the duo 15& (Have you checked out their comeback teaser?). Kpop Star 2’s winners were Akmu (aka Akdong Musician) who signed with YG Entertainment. Who was the winner of Kpop Star 3? Keep reading to find out!

Let me talk a little about my story with Kpop Star (haha that sounds weird). Although I watched Kpop Star 1 pretty regularly, I didn’t watch Kpop Star 2 (or any full episodes at least), but I was aware of the contestants and their performances. I was really happy to see that many of the contestants, like Park Jimin, Akmu (as you can probably tell by how often I mention them), Lee Michelle (I did a talking about on her debut release so check it out if you’re curious what I thought of it), 2000won, etc., actually made formal debuts and are producing music.

As for Kpop Star 3, I did watch it regularly for the most part, but I stopped watching it when it reached around Top 4 or 6 (I believe), not because I didn’t like the show, but because I was pretty busy and couldn’t keep up with every single episode. I was, however, intrigued when I came across an article about who was eliminated, as well as about their performances.

The top 2 in season 3 were Bernard Park and Sam Kim, two contestants I really loved because of their amazing singing. In a general sense however, I was very impressed by this season and all the contestants because they were amazing and in many rounds, it was hard for me to choose one contestant over the other. This was the case for the top 2, as I had really enjoyed both of their performances throughout the season.

In the final competition between the top 2, there were 2 rounds and the final decision was based on the points given by the judges, as well as the voting of the viewers.

If you missed it the performances, here are the videos:

Round 1:

Sam Kim’s performance of Lies

Bernard Park’s performance of Because I Love You

Round 2:

Sam Kim’s performance of Englishman in New York

Bernard Park’s performance of I Believe I Can Fly

SPOILER ALERT, sorry :(! If you don’t know who the winner is (which I highly doubt because many news sites have been spoiling it :P) Stop reading and come back later hehe! :3 After closing the voting, the results deemed Bernard Park as the winner of Kpop Star 3! JYP Entertainment was his agency choice. The season has finally come to an end.

So, congratulations to Bernard Park! I wish him the best in what his future holds, and I will be looking forward to his debut! I’d like to say the same about Sam Kim and I hope that we will see him on stage in the future :3 Additionally, I hope we’ll see many of the contestants from this season debut! (I had many favorites hehe)

The reason I write this post is because I’m really curious about your opinion because it’s a show that I personally enjoyed and I know people have lots to talk about for audition programs. Let me know what you think about this season, as well as the contestants! That’s all for It’s Time to K-pop, and I’ll talk to you guys tomorrow! 🙂

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

K-Pop Group of the Day: SHINee

Hey guys! 😀

How is everything? Wishing everything is going great! I have another K-Pop Group of the Day, and today’s post is on SHINee. When deciding which group to talk about, I just really choose any group that comes to mind, but let me know if there’s any specific group you’d like me to write about! Without further ado (my introductions have been quite short lately), let’s get started!

SHINee is a group managed under SM Entertainment that debuted in 2008. The members consist of Onew, Minho, Jonghyun, Key, and Taemin.

Image taken from jpopasia.com. All rights go to the respective owners!

Favorite member? I say this question is tough to answer every time I do a K-Pop Group of the Day, but it really is hard to choose (except for my ultimate bias of course 😉 ). I really think every member is amazing and has their own strengths, but since I have choose one I’d probably say it’s either Key or Taemin. Key has recently really caught my attention because of his activities as part of ToHeart, and I think he’s a great performer! As for Taemin, he’s just awesome – singing and dancing wise. Both are amazing, as is every member in the group really. :3

Favorite song? SHINee has a lot, and I mean a lot, of great songs that I personally really enjoy, and this was difficult to pick, especially because I had a lot of songs that I wanted to include as my favorite, but there is one that I really love, even after all this time, and that is Replay. It makes me want to Replay the song (he..hehe…Yeah, sorry about that terrible pun 😛 ) Did you guys expect that to be my favorite? Probably not, since I just realized it has the least views out of all their music videos…Oh well, I still love it! Runner-ups for my favorite song would probably be Love Like Oxygen and Sherlock. :3 Once these songs start playing, I have to start singing along – it’s almost an instinctive response haha! UPDATE: I recently found another song by SHINee, which I’ll have to say is close up the list to Replay, and is even threatening to take its spot. 😛 That song is Symptoms from their Everybody album! It’s such an amazing song – listen to it! 😀

One thing that sets them apart from others? Definitely their singing and dance skills. That might sound quite obvious, but the reason I say this is because their singing is absolutely amazing, both in their recorded tracks and in live performances. Also, their choreography is always so creative and impressive, and they are such talented dancers! Both their dance skills and singing in their live performances are characteristics I find awesome about them. One great example of this is this live performance! Damn, SHINee, damn. I am very impressed.

Overall opinion? They are a remarkable group! I really like their songs and performances, not to mention the group in general, and their talent has already been proven to me. :3 As I have until now, I will look into their releases in the future, and I wish them the best in their activities and promotions (I’m pretty sure they’re on tour right now, so best of luck to them in that!).

What are your opinions about SHINee? Please let me know in the comments! I hope you all have a great week! :3 Thank you so much for checking out my blog, and I’ll talk to you guys later!

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

Talking about 서울이 싫어졌어 (I Hate Seoul) – 2000won

Hi guys!

I’m back with another Talking about, and today’s post is on I Hate Seoul (서울이 싫어졌어) by 2000won! Click here to watch it. I don’t know if this is the direct translation of the title, but since they don’t mention it, I went by what I found in other sites and what not, so please correct me if it is wrong!

2000won previously starred on season 2 of Kpop Star, and they debuted this year in March (if I am not mistaken – limited information heh). From what I found, they are currently part of Reve Entertainment. The members are Kim Hyobin and Kim Ildo. If you have more information about them (since I couldn’t really find much), please let me know in the comments!

Song: As for this song, I can say that I did like it! 🙂 I’ve noticed I’ve been talking about a lot of slower, melodic songs (I hope you all are okay with that :D) and this is another great one! Maybe it’s because it’s spring in Korea.. and slower songs are more suiting.. and.. uh.. no? Haha, anyways, their voices and talent are very evident in this song, making it even nicer hehe. Hyobin has a really great, soothing voice and it really sheds light in this song, and Ildo’s rapping was awesome and super charming! It’s a pretty song and I do like pretty songs 🙂 I’m impressed by this release!

Music Video: The music video is so cool! 😀 First off, I loved the transitions from one scene to another by using the objects, like the umbrella, the balloon, the television screens, the phone, etc. I thought they were all really creative and fun! They filmed in appropriate locations, especially in the scenes with and without the girl, and I really liked the passing off of the camera from one member to the other. My favorite part was the different splits from different locations while Hyobin was walking 😀 There were a lot of interesting things happening in this video, especially that fight between Ildo and the other guy haha! Overall, it kept my attention and although it’s a sad song, I had fun watching it because of these little interesting characteristics :3

Overall, I liked the song and the video! Would I download the song? Yes! 😀 What are your opinions? Let me know in the comments! Feel free to let me know about anything you’d like :3 Have a great day everyone!

P.S. A little update! I am in love with Akmu’s live performance of 200%! They’re so confident, and yet the performance is so so so adorable, with really cute choreography as well! Check it out! 🙂  I was just watching  this video of their audition and it amazed me how far they’ve come. (Slightly obsessed with them, not going to lie :P) Anyways, I’ll talk to you guys tomorrow with more interesting K-Pop related things!

Hugs from your fellow K-Popper! ❤

K-Pop Findings: Topp Dogg

Hello guys!

How are you all? This week went by so fast, and it’s already Thursday! Today’s post isn’t on a release, although there were many great ones this week, but instead about a K-Pop Finding on Topp Dogg! Let’s go ahead and get started! By the way, I am working on new ideas for posts, so let me know if you have any!

Image taken from soompi.com. All rights go to the respective owners!

Topp Dogg is a 13 member group (13! :O) created by Cho PD (It’s Cho PD, and In Sooni! Nah.. not really.. but does anyone get that reference? :D) and are part of Stardom Entertainment. The members consist of P-Goon, Jenissi, Seogoong, Gohn, Hojoon, Kidoh, Sangdo, Nakta, Hansol, B-Joo, Xero, A-Tom, and Yano (so many names :o) They debuted in 2013, so they are a pretty recent group. What I find super fun about the group is how filled the room becomes when they are all in the same space. :3 haha

As always, here’s a list of videos of them I found interesting!

Cover of Some – JungGiGo and SoYou: Really love this song, and I really like this cover too! This is the first video I stumbled on, and I was pretty impressed by it! They have great voices.

Interview at Pops in Soul: I then watched this interview to get to know them better, but not all the members are in it because they all couldn’t fit in the room! :3 Hahah, sad sad. It’s a fun video!

Arario: This music video kept popping in my suggestions, so I obviously had to check it out! You should too! It’s cool because of the fusion between the traditional Korean culture, such as the instruments, drums, dances, clothes, etc. and, obviously, the more modernized music style. It’s very different, and I like it! 🙂 This is their most recent release, so show them some support if you like it!

Dance Practice of Open the Door: Their choreography is so much more interesting because they have so many members. Lots of cool moves (especially that spinning at the end)! 🙂 Check it out! It also helps that they put the names of the members, so it helps when familiarizing with the 13 members haha!

Here is the actual music video for Open the Door

Cigarette Music Video: Probably my favorite song of all of theirs, or at least of those that I checked out right now. :3 Great vocals! Watch the scenes when they’re all in the room together! Doesn’t it look so full? Haha, I don’t know why I find that so fun, but I do, okay? Heh :3

Follow Me Music Video: The choreography is really cool in this music video! The song is catchy too. :3

Live Performance of Follow Me: Yes, I do realize that the video says the title of the song in English is Say It, but the official music video says Follow Me so I’m going with that! The choreography from the music video interested me enough to make me check out their live performance, and I can say that the choreography and performance are awesome!

Overall, I’m pretty impressed by their talent and although it’s a bit difficult to get to know all the members now because there are so many, I wish them the best of luck in their future promotions, and I will check them out for any future releases! What do you think? Are you their fan? Let me know!

Thanks for reading! 🙂 Have a great rest of the week!

Talking about Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms – HIGH4, IU

Hey all! 😀

Welcome back to It’s Time to K-Pop, and we have another post today! Today’s post is on the debut release of Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms by HIGH4 and IU. Click here to watch it if you haven’t already!

HIGH4 is a four member group (oh really? :O I’m positive you weren’t able to guess it) which consists of Kim Sung Gu, Alex, Baek Myung Han, and Im Young Jun. The group was formed by N.A.P. Entertainment. In case you didn’t catch it earlier, this is their debut release!

IU debuted in 2008, and is currently part of LOEN Entertainment.

Song: Gah, guys…. I’m dying… Dying because this song is so freaking sweet! :3 Seriously though, I love it. I really like acoustic songs, and this song seriously made me feel all fuzzy inside. :3 It’s a really great spring song, and even if it isn’t spring where you live, it’s still a very nice song to listen to. I am obsessed, to say the least, with IU’s voice in this song – it’s so fitting, not to mention so so pretty. I really liked the vocals of the HIGH4 members too, and although I think the song would’ve been great even without IU, the song is so much nicer with her. 🙂 I really love the melody of this song and I am hooked, especially with the chorus part! I’m quite impressed with HIGH4 and am really happy with this song!

Music Video: I like the video too! It’s very cute and very much appropriate to the song. :3 I thought the cardboard (is it cardboard? what material is it even made of? Is this even important?) houses or building structure… things, and the very minimalistic looking set was interesting. IU looks really pretty in this video by the way, and the guys look really charming too! Some of my favorite moments were the umbrella thing flying around, throwing the ice cream and the other guy (sorry I don’t know names with faces yet!) catching it, and the little car they were riding haha. :3 My general impression is that the set wasn’t super clustered, ornate, or over the top, but rather simple, very clean looking and that went really nicely with the spring, or happy, mood with the song. :3 Nothing too crazy, yet still appropriate to the mood of the song, especially all those flower petals flying around.

Overall, really loving the song and I like the music video too! 😀 Would I download the song? YES! What do you think? Do you agree with me? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you tomorrow! ❤

P.S. Do you want a little more of HIGH4? Check out this dance cover of theirs! (I can’t with the cheesy iMovie effect and background music though, omg) There is more on their channel if you’d like to check it out 🙂
